Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Vaqun Discord bot or its web dashboard (together, "Vaqun"). By adding Vaqun to a server, using its commands, or logging in to the dashboard, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Vaqun.

Discord's rules come first

Vaqun runs on Discord. You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines whenever you use it. Nothing here lets you do something Discord doesn't allow.

Acceptable use

Don't use Vaqun to:

  • harass, threaten, dox or discriminate against anyone, including through moderation actions, AFK reasons or rule messages;
  • spam, flood or deliberately overload the bot, the dashboard or Discord's API through them;
  • try to get around permissions, limits, bans or security measures, or access servers or data you're not allowed to;
  • break the law, or help anyone else do so.

Server owners and administrators

If you add Vaqun to a server or configure it there, you're responsible for how it's used in that server: the moderation actions taken through it, the AutoMod rules and other settings you choose, and telling your members about any features that affect them (for example, that Vaqun records name and avatar history, see the Privacy Policy).

Plans and Premium

Vaqun has a free plan and a Premium plan with higher limits and extra features. Today, Premium is granted manually by Vaqun's staff; no payments are processed through Vaqun. Premium can be granted for a set time or with no end date, and can be changed or revoked. If paid plans are introduced later, they'll come with their own terms, shown before you pay.

Suspension

Vaqun's staff may, at their discretion, ban a user or a server from using Vaqun, for example for breaking these terms or Discord's rules, or to protect other users. A banned user's commands are refused everywhere; Vaqun leaves a banned server and leaves again if it's re-added. You can stop using Vaqun at any time by removing it from your server and logging out of the dashboard.

No guarantees

Vaqun is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be online, free of bugs, or that every action (such as a moderation action or an AutoMod rule) will always succeed; Discord's own limits and outages also apply. Keep your own records of anything important. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Vaqun.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and announce material changes where Vaqun's users can see them. Continuing to use Vaqun after a change means you accept the updated terms.
