⭐ Leveling

Members earn XP for chatting and slowly level up. Reward the most active ones with roles, announce level-ups, and show everyone's rank with /leaderboard. Levels are per server: someone's level here has nothing to do with other servers.

How members earn XP

  • Messages: 10 to 20 XP per message, at most once a minute each. Posting fifty messages in a minute earns the same as one, so spam doesn't help.
  • Voice (Premium): XP for every minute in a voice channel with other people.
  • Each level takes more XP than the last: level 10 takes 5,610 XP in total, level 50 about 322,000.

/profile shows a member's level and progress; /leaderboard shows the top members.

Set it up

Go to Members → Leveling. It's on by default. The tabs:

  1. Leaderboard: your server's ranking.
  2. XP gain: turn leveling on or off, and choose channels, categories and roles that earn no XP.
  3. Rewards: give a role when a member reaches a level. Pick any levels you like, and choose whether members keep earlier rewards or only the highest one.
  4. Announcements: announce level-ups where they happened or in one channel, with your own message ({user}, {username}, {tag}, {level}, {server}, {members}), and optionally ping the member.
  5. Level card: settings for members' image cards in this server.

FAQ

Someone already past a reward level didn't get the role. Rewards are given when a member levels up. They'll get it at their next level-up.

Why is my XP not on the leaderboard yet? XP is saved every few seconds. Give it a moment.

I pinned a level to a big number. What happens to the levels after it? They move up by the same amount, so the pace after that milestone stays the same. Levels can never cost less than the one before.
